Recorders

Recorders are taught by Mrs Frew and the earliest we can learn it is in P6. The recorders are given to you by the school along with the books. The book is called ‘Recorder From The Beginning’ Book 1. P7s carry on learning next year. Recorders also play at assembly. Recorder isn’t the only instrument you can learn at Oxgangs. Brass instruments are taught here as well.

Recorders are run on a Monday after school. It is taught by Mrs Frew. We play from 3:30 to 4:00. This year it is open only to primary six. We practise every week. You also play at end of term assemblies. The notes we know so far are A, B, C, D, E, F sharp, G, high C and high D. Most people would enjoy it if they went along. I think it's great!
